We generalize a regularization method of Stumpf 1984 in the case of non-linear spinor field models to fourth order theories and to non-scalar interactions. The involved discrete symmetries can be connected with C,P,T transformations. Source: http://arxiv.org/abs/hep-th/0011025v1
The functional quantum field theory, developed by Stumpf, provides the possibility to derive the quantum dynamics of a positronium gas from Coulomb interacting electrons and positrons. By this example, the method will be brought in a Clifford algebraic light, through identifying the functional space with an infinite dimensional Euclidean Clifford algebra. The purpose of this study was to explore the extent of career exploratory behaviors of students enrolled in Iowa State University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Career exploration was measured using the self and environmental exploration scales of the Career Exploration Survey (CES; Stumpf, Colarelli, Hartmann, 1983). A MANOVA indicated significant main effects for year in school for the environmental and self exploration scales. For both the environmental and self exploration... In a follow-up to findings published by H. Stumpf and J. Stanley (1996), the gender-related differences in enrollment in and scores on the College Board Achievement (SAT II) and Advanced Placement (AP) tests were studied. Differences in scores turned out to be rather stable from 1982 (for the Achievement tests) and 1984 (for the AP tests) through 1996, with 12 of the 21 SAT II tests favoring males and 2 favoring females. The differences in scores on the Achievement Test in American History and... Topics: ERIC Archive, Achievement Tests, College Entrance Examinations, Correlation, Course Selection...
The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which career exploration process behaviors influence the level of career certainty of agriculture students. Data were gathered from 181 freshmen and 131 senior students enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University. Career certainty was assessed using items from the Career Decision Scale (Osipow, 1987) Career exploration was assessed using selected career exploration process behavior scales from the... What is the relationship between ACT scores and success in college? For decades, admissions policies in colleges and universities across the country have required applicants to submit scores from a college entrance exam, most typically the ACT (American College Testing) or SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test). This requirement suggests that high school students' performance on these exams can help predict their academic success as college students. In fact, research conducted over the past four... In this tutorial we schematically illustrate four algorithms: (1) ABC rejection for parameter estimation (2) ABC SMC for parameter estimation (3) ABC rejection for model selection on the joint space (4) ABC SMC for model selection on the joint space. Source: http://arxiv.org/abs/0910.4472v2
